“Manoel” follows the music group Sensible Soccers after the release of their fourth LP, marking their tenth year as a band. The documentary explores their process of composing new soundtracks for two films by legendary Portuguese director Manoel de Oliveira: Douro, Faina Fluvial (1931) and O Pintor e a Cidade (1956).
It examines the connection between cinema and music, highlighting how these two art forms converge and collaborate.
